 Beatrix’ Winterguard is eager to announce the plans for her next USA Tour. The group will strive to participate in the Winter Guard International Championships of 2011. About two years ago, Beatrix’ Winterguard announced the very same news for the 2009 season. That year, for the first time in Beatrix’ history, the group was to take part in the WGI Championships.

Try out marchingband ATM op 25 april

 Op zondag 25 april a.s. zal de marchingband ATM een optreden verzorgen op het winkelcentrum Buikslotermeerplein in Amsterdam Noord. Het optreden zal om 13:15 uur beginnen. ATM zal starten met diverse korte optredens op het plein, om vervolgens te eindigen bij de V&D waar zo rond 14:30 uur na een korte pauze, op het Marktplein een uitvoering zal worden gegeven van de nieuwe galashow “Lord Potter en de Dam van Aemstelle show”. Deze show bestaat voornamelijk uit muziek uit de films van "Harry Potter" en "Lord Of The Rings". Hierna zal er wederom een korte pauze zijn waarna de marchingband een 2e marsoptreden door het winkelcentrum zal verzorgen.

A History of Drum & Bugle Corps - Vol. 1

 Five years after the initial 2002 printing of A History of Drum & Bugle Corps, Volume 1 sold out, copies will once again be available for a limited time. The 432-page book was originally published in June 2002. The last copy was purchased in December 2005. Over the subsequent five years, the Drum Corps World office has received numerous requests for copies of the first volume from fans who bought the second volume, which was published in 2003 and is still available at drumcorpsworld.com.

Large line up at DCN contest

 The Drum Corps Netherlands (DCN) contest on June 26th has a large line up. With 18 corps to perform, visitors can enjoy hours of corps music and performances in four classes: Premier Class, A Class, Percussion Class and Junior Class. The contest also will have participants from other countries as Calypso (Belgium), The Devils, Starriders and Heartliner (Germany) also will compete besides the Dutch participants.

Flying Drums performs "The Incredibles"

 After the success last year with "Wicked", the Flying Drums Marching Band (Hannover, Germany) will make performances in 2010 with music from the Walt Disney movie "The Incredibles", presenting some fine big band music to the audience. With this choice the Flying Drums will have al the drama and romance for you this year. Amongst others, music that will be played are "The Glory Day´s"(opener), "Life´s Incredible Again / Bob vs. The Omnidroid" and "Saving Metroville / The Incredits" (closer). The movie "The Incredibles" was rewarded with several honors back in 2005.
